Tiles

Tile flooring consists of man-made or natural stones.  Man-made stones include ceramics and porcelain tiles.  Porcelain and ceramic tiles each have their own distinctive characteristics.  Ceramic tiles are best suited being installed on walls or low traffic areas, whereas porcelain tiles are better suited for high traffic areas and even outdoor spaces.   The design of ceramic tiles only applies to and covers the surface of the tile and therefore scratches are easily be detected.  On the other hand some porcelain tiles are referred to as "color body", meaning that the color of the tile runs all the way through the tile such that scratches are significantly less visible.

Natural stones have their own unique characteristics and often times have spent many years in the making.  Most natural stones vary greatly in texture and color which is what allows them to standout.  Some stones like granite, travertine and stone are very dense whereas stones such as marble and limestone are very soft. With our shop-at-home service, we offer free estimates and accurate measurements.  Contact us and discover all we have to offer.
